I grew up surrounded by the beauty of the West of Ireland and I’m currently making a home and living in Amsterdam with my fiancé, finding a new pace of life in the city. I try to find joy in the small things in life and bring that same outlook to my photographic approach. I believe so much love and beauty exists in the fleeting, in-between moments, and I hope to capture these in all the work I do.
I come from a fashion/art background and have spent the last 7 years working as a fashion and commercial photographer, before dipping my toe (cautiously!) into the world of weddings. In doing so, I’ve discovered the immense happiness and true sense of fulfilment that comes with photographing them.
I only take on a limited number of weddings per year and want each one to feel like the perfect fit (and perhaps a little outside the box of the usual). Your wedding should have love and joy at the absolute forefront. It’s about being in a room with every single person you love, and who loves you back. The last thing on your mind should be staging shots for the camera, especially when there are so many real laughs, tears, and hugs unfolding all around you.
My biggest inspiration is my parents' wedding photos (and honestly, what I’d love for myself one day too!). A friend captured their day on film, and the images are filled with candid, beautiful moments. You can see the happiness shining through them, their friends, and their family. That’s exactly what I aim to capture; photographs that preserve the feeling of your wedding day, not just the aesthetic.
I want my work to be characterised by warmth and tenderness, capturing moments you’ll want to remember to forever.
I’m on a mission to make weddings feel like weddings again!
